After their excellent MCD Mörker followed the predestined path further into the darkness and created almost one hour of Atmospheric Northern Black Metal with wonderful, sometimes sad, sometimes catching melodies, and this time everything comes along in their very own style. There are hints to the great old Black Metal of the 90s even though the album cannot directly be compared to certain albums of the strongest era in Black Metal history. Fans who like "Den Sista Utfärden" will surely appreciate "Skuggornas Rike" as well. It has everything that so far marked Mörker as gifted musicians and takes the songwriting, the atmosphere and the intensity of the whole work to an even higher level.

Mörker (Swedish for "Darkness") is an Atmospheric Black Metal band from Sweden, founded by Ascaroth, Grimner & Larssa in 2004.

Mörker released two demos - the second one reissued as MCD as well as split LP with Draugsang (Nor) by Northern Silence - as well as two full-length albums, both also released on CD by Northern Silence. The second album, "Höstmakter", was also released on vinyl. ... more

Tout est une question de perspective. En regardant la pochette d'Algleymi, on se dira : "c'est un constat d'échec de l'humanité face aux puissances cosmiques". Mais le gigantisme de cette silhouette est un signe que Misþyrming veut plutôt s'emparer de cette puissance et le black metal le confirmera très vite. Il est plus maîtrisé, massif et épique. Si le chant est déjà impressionnant, dégageant plus de haine, les guitares sont de leur côté absolument monumentales. Un chef-d'œuvre du genre ! Jordan Vauvert
